Welcome! 

I'm Chris - father and problem solver, inventor and entrepreneur. It has been a long, wild journey to this point, but I am glad for how things have turned out! 

I was well on my way to a "stable" career in dentistry when my son Jack was born. As Jack started to become a mobile toddler, childproofing of the house began with full force. It was instantly frustrating: trying to open a door knob cover with wet hands, finding the covers removed by babysitters or by Jack, going through tedious unlocking/locking processes just to use the fridge, trying to open/close the toilet lid while holding a squirmy toddler...you get the picture. These are not unique situations - all parents experience them and likely throw their hands up as I did in exasperation, thinking, "There has to be a better method!" 

I took my passion for creating and inventing, education in science, and the perfect trial zone of my home to start making my own childproofing products. After some prototypes were successful, I decided that following this path was much more meaningful for me than dental school. And LIVSafe was born! 

The goal from the beginning has been simple: create childproofing products that are parent-friendly. Easier for the parents to use, harder for toddlers to manipulate, all while keeping designs simple and safe. 

When the products were used in my own home, I noticed that life became more manageable. No more opening the fridge and leaving the door unlocked unintentionally. No more toilet accidents due to faulty childproofing latches. Peace and reduced worry became more of a norm. 

I am always working and designing to improve my products so they not only work well for my family, but can work well for yours, too. Products designed by parents for other parents propels our LIVSafe mission, value system, and desire to make the world a safer place for our little ones.
